Dancers,
Whether you are a shagger or a swing dancer you should mark your
calendars for Christmas in Dixie on December 8-10 . Give
yourself an early Christmas present and go to the beach for a
great dance weekend.
This
year Christmas in Dixie will be all about workshops and social
dancing. The format may be simple, but the information and
training you will get there will be priceless. The swing staff
includes national swing champions Robert and Nicola Royston (New
York) and Angel and Debbie Figueroa (Texas). The shag
instructors are the best in the business- Sam and Lisa West,
Sarah Kemp, Ellen Taylor, and Scott Campbell. The weekend will
be a wonderful chance for you to learn some new patterns,
improve your technique and do lots of social dancing.
Friday night there will be free
food at Duck’s for everyone. We will also have 300 breakfast
buffet tickets available for purchase at a special low price of
$5.00 each. The hotel puts out a nice buffet each morning and
the workshops won’t begin until 10:00am. And speaking of the
hotel, almost all the rooms are oceanfront and the off-season
rates are fantastic.
Also,
taking place that weekend is the Junior Shag Association
Christmas Party. There will be free workshops on Saturday
afternoon for all JSA members. For more information on the JSA
