Rules & Regulations Dance Requirements
All dance patterns used should be based upon NDCA, ISTD, DIVIDA, Fred Astaire or Arthur Murray approved syllabus.
1.Closed Divisions – Pro/Am American & International Pre-Bronze, Bronze, Silver
& Gold, Amateur Novice.(There should be no continuity used in Bronze Smooth!)
2.Open Divisions – Pro/Am American & International Bronze, Silver, Gold,
Open Gold, Amateur Pre-Championship,
3.Open Amateur – no syllabus restrictions.
4.No lifts are permitted at any time.
5.Pro/Am & Amateur competitors may dance their own age division and the age
division below (except Junior)
6.Costumes are allowed in all divisions.
7.Dancers are required to be in the “on deck” area 2 heats prior to their
scheduled heat. The competition will not be held up for missing competitors!
Top Teacher Awards Teachers eligible for the Top Teacher Awards
must be on a full package and dance a minimum of 20 entries to qualify.Qualifying teachers will be awarded points based
on the number of entries and placement in all pro/am & am/am divisions.
